Heavenly Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
Best Cinnamon rolls recipe, this is very easy to make very soft and fluffy texture of the bread that almost melt into your mouth.
As a busy mum, I make sure that once in a while I have to treat my family with fresh bake cinnamon rolls. This recipe is quite yummy and easy to make, and this is a perfect treat for the whole family.
The best icing for this is the thick cream cheese icing, but I prefer the simple icing with a dash of lemon juice. I just wanted a lighter icing for a simple cinnamon rolls for an afternoon tea.
Cinnamon rolls are best serve while warm and matched with your tea, coffee or hot chocolate drink.
They can be freeze and you can just warm them up in a microwave for a few minutes and you have a fresh cinnamon rolls anytime.
Adding sultanas in your filling give some different texture to this bread, sultanas can be substitute with nuts or just added with the filling.
How make cinnamon rolls
Ingredients to make cinnamon rolls bread
- 4 cups all purpose flour (sifted)
- 2 sachet (14 gram) dry yeast - Tandaco brand
- 4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup fresh milk (lukewarm)
- 1/4 cup water (lukewarm)
- 1/4 cup butter (softened)
- Extra flour for kneading
Ingredients to make the cinnamon roll filling
- 2 Tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- ½ cup chopped sultanas
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
For the cinnamon roll icing
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 cup icing sugar sifted
- 1-2 Tbsp milk or lemon juice
Procedure to make the cinnamon rolls
- For the filling add all ingredients mix well and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl add together flour, sugar, salt and yeast and mix well.
- Add in eggs, butter, milk and water use paddle attachment and mix at low speed until incorporated.
- Change the attachment to dough hook scrape sides and mix for another 10 minutes at slow speed or until smooth and elastic.
- Scrape the sides and leave the dough in the mixing bowl and cover with a towel and allow to rest for 1 hour.
- After 1 hour, remove the cover of the bowl and punch down the dough.
- Using a rolling pin flatten into a long rectangle and spread filling evenly.
- Roll dough into a cylinder and cut the dough into 12 equal portions.
- Place on prepared greased or lined baking tray.
- Allow to raise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheat oven for 20-25 minutes at 180 C.
- Bake until the tops of the bread are lightly golden brown.
