How to make basic crepe recipe
Ingredient for basic crepe
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cup fresh milk or water
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon melted butter or oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- pinch of salt
How cook basic crepe
- In a medium bowl sift together flour, sugar and salt. Make a well in the center
- Place the milk in a jug add egg, butter and whisk gently
- Pour milk slowly into dry ingredients and mix gently until smooth thin batter
- Preheat a non stick pan over a medium heat and melt small amount of butter or oil
- pour enough mixture into the pan and quickly swirl to coat evenly the bottom of the pan
- Cook for 1 minute or slightly brown, turn the crepe or flip gently to cook the other side for another 30 seconds. Transfer to a plate and cook the remaining batter. Stack the crepe on top of each, to keep it warm
- Make sure to keep mixing the batter each time you cook the crepe.
