Filipino Green Mango Salad
It's mango season again and I'm so excited to share my simple recipe, Filipino style green mango salad. This recipe is very quick and easy to make.
I have this lovely Nam doc mai mango tree in my yard, it has excellent flavour, very sweet when is ripened and so juicy. I take some of unripened mango to make this delicious green mango salad. Green mango salad is best serve with grilled chicken or fish, barbecued pork or prawns and fried fish.
Filipino green mango salad usually have shrimp paste and chopped red onions. But, with this recipe I substituted the shrimp paste to fish sauce and removed the onions. And I'd like to add extra spice by adding chopped chilies.
Green mango salad is similar to pawpaw (papaya) salad just add chopped toasted peanut and dried shrimp.
