Quick and Easy Chicken Wings with Mung Bean Sprouts

A Simple chicken wings with mung bean sprouts recipe this is a great recipe for a busy night, very quick and easy to prepare and cook. This recipe is ready in just 30 minutes and is better than takeaway food.

Chicken wings can be marinated a day before to have a tasty chicken. This is really delicious especially if using your own homemade bean sprouts and this is quite satisfying.                                                   


How to Cook Simple Chicken with Mung Bean Sprouts Recipe

Ingredients to cook simple chicken wings recipe

  • 1 kg chicken wings (separate into 2 pieces see note)
  • 2 cups mung bean sprouts
  • 1 cup carrot julienne
  • ½ cup red capsicum julienne
  • ½ c chicken stock
  • 3 stalks of spring onion chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • Salt and pepper

Note: To separate the wings into two pieces, cut through joints with a knife or pair of scissors.

Chicken Marinade

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

Instructions to cook Mongolian chicken

  • In a medium bowl add chicken and the marinade, mix well, and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a large wok over medium heat.
  • Sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  • Add chicken wings and cook for 5-6 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Add the carrots, and mung beans sprout and water simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the capsicum, and simmer for another 1 minute.
  • Add pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with chopped spring onions.
  • Serve with steamed rice, noodles, and quinoa, or eat on its own.
